NOTD: OPI Peru-B-Ruby and Femme Fatale Crimson Acolyte

Before I start, I'm warning you that this post will have quite a lot of pictures because none of them could do the polishes I used any justice. Also, since this manicure was about a week old, there's massive wear on my pointer nail. I could not preserve my mani by applying a layer of top coat everyday as I was on holidays.

These are the polishes that I used over my Gelish manicured finger nails (nail polish doesn't last over a day on my nails without some sort of gel or acrylic underneath). From left to right, Butter London Nail Foundation Flawless Basecoat, OPI Peru-B-Ruby, Femme Fatale Crimson Acolyte, and Butter London P.D. Quick Topcoat.

I applied a coat of Button London Basecoat, followed by a coat of OPI Peru-B-Ruby, and then two coats of Crimson Acolyte. I then finished off my manicure with 2-3 coats of Butter London topcoat.

OPI Peru-B-Ruby is a gorgeous shimmery magenta colour. It applied opaque in just one coat. I thought it'd be a great base for Femme Fatale Crimson Acolyte.

Crimson Acolyte is a glitter filled polish with larger red, magenta and hot pink glitters of various shapes (hex and round), and a whole heap of holographic micro glitters. This is such a gorgeous glitter polish!

I failed at capturing the beauty of this manicure! None of these pictures do it justice despite the worn pointer tip!

Tried taking photos in different lighting to capture the different glitters.

I couldn't take the worn out pointer anymore and removed the polish. My gelish manicure was stained! I'm not sure if it was from the OPI or the Femme Fatale considering I have never used either.

It left disgusting yellow marks on my pointer on my right hand, so of course I had to take the gelish manicure off with Acetone, and reapply Gelish on my nails again.

I like having a pink with glitter Gelish base on my nails, just in case I'm too lazy to paint over them with regular polish.

If you live in Australia, you can get the Femme Fatale Crimson Acolyte from here. Femme Fatale has also got international stockists, you can view the list here.

    1. I've already popped a few in the box which I've named "Jen's swap box". I need to find a good topcoat though.. I can't decide which one to send you!

And yes I have... I've also updated my "About Me" page, except I think I've rambled on a bit too much and will have to probably redo it later.
