January Empties

I can't believe January 2013 has gone already! I'm quite proud of myself, as I have finished quite a few products last month. Before I get started, I would like to apologise for some of the pictures I have taken with my iPhone in poor lighting...

1. Diorsnow DNA Reverse White Reveal Strengthening Creme (deluxe sample size)
The claims made by Dior about this creme:
"Rich and soothing, this creme instantly nourishes the skin, making it visibly more even, stronger and better-placed to withstand the stresses of the day. The entire Diorsnow range has been tested for Asian skin by dermatologists."

After using this product, my skin felt moisturized but nothing that other moisturizing creams can't do. Other than that, I didn't really notice any difference after using this, and hence would not be repurchasing (although, I do have another one deluxe sample size to use up)...

2. L'Oreal Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer (sample)
I really like this primer! I found that the claims to even skin surface and smoothes pores to be true, and would repurchase when I run out of primers.

3. The Pure Guild Feminine Cleanser
This is a bit of a 'meh' product for me. The only thing I like about this is the packaging. I love how you can turn the head to 'close' it off, so the head can't be pressed down. The conveniently small bottle is also perfect for travelling. I purchased this from an Ozsale warehouse sale last year, and haven't seen this on supermarket shelves, so I'm not sure where you can get this from. But you're not missing out on anything here...

4. Babyliss Pro Argan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo
Another 'meh' product. I don't think this shampoo did anything for my hair. It didn't feel any more moisturized after using this shampoo, neither was my hair anymore volumized. As a result, I would not repurchase. If you have a HG shampoo, let me know what it is!

5. Kao Biore Face Wash in Cool
I absolutely love this face wash. I bought two of these when I was in Singapore late last year, and this was the second one I've used up. :( It contains menthol, which I love and it did a good job cleansing my face without breaking me out. I'm going to repurchase a gazillion more when I go back in May!

6. Swisspers 25 Cucumber Facial Cleansing Wipes
I actually quite like these cleansing wipes. They smelt good, were moist and removed all my makeup effectively. It also didn't leave any unpleasant oily residue after. Would definitely repurchase.

7. Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
Philip Kingsley elasticizer is a pre-shampoo treatment, that is meant to add shine, elasticity and bounce to your hair. My hair felt really soft after rinsing this elasticizer out, but the softness was lost after rinsing out my shampoo. I thought about using it as a conditioner, but the 'fragrance free' property of this pre-shampoo treatment put me off doing so. It smelt kind of.. chalky? Not something I want my hair to smell after a wash. I probably would not repurchase, as it was quite pricey and I did not notice any permanent changes to the condition of my hair.

8 & 9. Maybelline Full 'N Soft Waterproof Mascara; Rimmel Lash Accelerator
I remember absolutely loving the Full 'N Soft mascara, but I think it must have been too old, as it was rubbish! It didn't hold any curls in my lashes, which was super annoying, as I had to spend more precious time that I didn't have trying to fix the problem of droopy lashes. Although, I didn't have to deal with clumpyness with this mascara... I probably won't repurchase though.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator is such a gimmick. Did not 'accelerate' the growth of my lashes, and it did the opposite of holding a curl. Definitely will not be repurchasing.

That's it for January empties! What have you used up that you love (or hate)?
