May Empties

Since I've spent the majority of May traveling, I've managed to use up quite a few travel-sized items, in particular skin care products.

1. Palmolive Body Butter Luscious Mango
I could not for the life of me get the last bit out!!! How annoying! Anyway, I thought this body wash smelt delicious and would repurchase when I run out of body wash, which I don't think will happen for the next decade or so.

2. Redken Diamond Oil - 2x Conditioner, 1x Shampoo, 1x deep facets
Received a heap of Redken diamond oil haircare from Her Fashion Box, and I'm so glad to have used all these up. I wasn't all that impressed by the shampoo or conditioner, but the deep facets (the intensive treatment) was pretty good at moisturizing my dry damaged hair. I would probably repurchase the diamond oil deep facets sometime in the future, after I've finished up all (or at least a few more) my conditioners.

3. Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser
I didn't find this foaming cleanser particularly "foamy". It did a good job cleansing my face without stripping all the essential oils. However, I wouldn't repurchase only because it doesn't have menthol in it, unlike my beloved Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser.

4. Molton Brown Patchouli & Saffron Body Wash
I thought this body wash smelt really good, although it was a tat too floral than what I'm used to (FYI: I'm used to sweet smelling body washes). I probably would not repurchase because of it's high price tag. I'd rather spend the money on makeup. :P

5. Urban Decay Eyelash Primer Potion
I do NOT like this primer at all. It turned thick and goopy so quickly. When I took the wand out, a lot of product came out with it, and ended up all around the opening. You may be able to see bits of primer between the cap and the bottle in the picture above... Messy stuff. Definitely not worth the money.

6. Bath & Body Works Anti-bacterial hand wash in Fresh Picked Strawberries
This hand wash smelt AMAZEBALLS. Loved it so much, I already repurchased another. The only thing I don't like about this hand wash is that I could not get the last bit out because the pump tubey thing does not reach far down enough. To compensate for it, I diluted it a bit to get more product out of it.

7. Herbal Essences Classic Herbal Replenishing Conditioner
This conditioner has to be one of my favourite conditioners ever. I've used this on and off for the past 8 years or so. I absolutely love how this smells and how soft it makes my hair feel! I would definitely repurchase this sometime in the near future.

That's it for my May empties! What did you empty last month?

  3. Haha, I can relate with the not finishing a body wash for the next decade or so! I have so many moisturisers too...in fact, I have so many of everything!

  4. Yay for using up so many empties! I still haven't used my sample of the Molten Brown body wash - I think I'm trying to savour it for a rainy day so I don't have to go out and buy a massive body! Haha.

  6. I never remember to keep my empties to do a post like this! The last bit of your handwash might fit in the top of the new one??? maybe sit it upside-down over it and let it run in next time? saves watering it down :) loved the smell of the Molten Brown too, but agree that it def not worth the expense, not for something that just washes off down the drain and what I cover with perfumes and lotions anyways :P

    1. I take photos of empties before throwing them out. I can never be bothered to keep them all till the end of the month, like some bloggers do.

Good idea! Might have to do that next time with the hand wash! :) Thank you!
