My crazy US haul

Having had a job for a quite a few weeks now and seeing my bank balance looking quite healthy, I may have taken it as a sign to splurge just a tiny bit...ish. I thought I'd share what I've purchased, as I don't think I'll be doing one of these massive hauls for a very long time, as I'll be saying hello to adulthood and a lifetime of debt (a.k.a mortgage) shortly (it secretly makes me want to cry... I don't want to grow up :( ) Anyway... this is what I bought.

1. MAC cosmetics
I purchased the duo pro palette because it was dirt cheap ($8.00). I also purchased the eye brows crayon in Spiked, as I loved the one that Jenny from The Shopping Queen gave me for our swap but wanted one a shade darker (read here). I decided to get some products to fill my palette up, so I purchased the sculpting powder in Sculpt, shaping powder in Accentuate, and powder blush in Fleur Power.

2. Sephora
This is some of the products that I ordered from Sephora. There are some products that I won't show, as I'm planning on keeping them aside for a giveaway that should be happening fairly soon (I just realised how much lip products I saved for the giveaway again). Having said that, there is an item or two in the picture above that will probably be up for grabs. ;)

I purchased Soap & Glory Body Scrub because I've been wanting to try tanning products, and I don't have a body scrub. I've given this a go last night, and it's so delightfully grainy! I love it! I also purchased the LORAC PRO to go eye/cheek palette, Lea Journo Revive French Plum oil, Hourglass veil mineral primer, Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in Exposed (for my sister's birthday), Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder, YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in 15 Corail Intuitive, MUFE Full Cover Concealer in 7 (this concealer is amazeballs), Anastasia brow wiz in Brunette (I think I'm set for brow pencils for the rest of my life), and UD eye pencil in Gunmetal.

With my Sephora points, I redeemed this MUFE bag, which contains the HD powder, Sens'eye - a waterproof sensitive eye cleanser, HD primer, and aqua eyes. I will most likely be giving away a couple of these products in the giveaway as well.

3. GAP.com

So I really wanted to make an order from Victoria's Secret, but could not justify it, as there was no good coupons (I'm a tight arse...). Thankfully, Gap had a good deal on and relieved me of the urge to go clothing shopping. From memory, they had a 50% sale, so I picked up a jumper and a top for Mike, a white shrunken boyfriend shirt for myself (for work ;))....

a black skirt, black work pants (both also for work :P) and a 3/4 yoga-style pants from Old Navy (part of the GAP group).

4. Forever 21

I also decided to make a forever 21 order, after seeing the sequin love-heart jumper. I nearly talked myself out of it until I saw the other love-heart jumper. I could not resist! I love love-heart jumpers! I also picked up a houndstooth dress, which is perfect for work.

So that's it for my pretty massive US haul. I used HopShopGo as my parcel forwarder. They sent my parcels via express on Friday, and I received most of them (7 out of 9 parcels) on Monday! The other two parcels were actually Mike's, and one of them came today. Hopefully we'll get the other by Friday or I won't be too impressed.

Disclaimer: Please remember that I did not create this post to brag about what I bought, I just thought some people might be interested in what I have purchased, as I do love reading/looking at other people's hauls and feeling insanely jealous.

  1. Oooo I love your Sephora haul! Having a job and seeing a healthy bank account always gives people the itch to spend, and when they do they go a bit crazy! How much did you have to pay for shipping (I think I remember seeing somewhere you used Hopshopgo?).

    1. It ended up costing USD$88.64 for all 9 parcels. 2 of which are the fiance's tools.
I have absolutely no self-control now that I'm working. There HAS to be some perks to waking up at such an ungodly hour and working my arse off 5 times a week.

    1. I think they're still $8! And the palette inserts are $2. I ordered 2 blush ones but they're on backorder till next month. I can't wait that long. I have zero patience when it comes to beauty products... or food.

    1. The MUFE concealer has got to be the best concealer I've ever tried. It's amazing on spots, and under eye (my under eyes aren't too bad though).

  11. What a gorgeous haul, Abby! I loved reading it! I've been thinking about using Hop, Shop and Go for a bit but I really do have too much makeup (including lots I haven't touched yet), so I feel a bit naughty! I've had my HS&G account forever but have yet to use it! Is it easy and straightforward?
