September Empties

It's time for another empties post! Some of the photos in this post was taken with my iPhone, as I left my camera memory card at the fiance's, so my apologies for that. Without waffling on about nothing, I'm going to jump straight into this post...

1. Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Treatment
This conditioner is AMAZING. Definitely one of the best conditioners I've ever used. I would repurchase this in a heartbeat. I just wish that this was more readily available in Australia (it's so ironic that the brand name is called "Aussie", and it's not sold in Australia).

2. Natural Look Silver Screen Ice Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner
This silver screen duo is actually purple, and it's fantastic at getting rid of brassiness in blonde hair. The purple pigments in both the shampoo and conditioner are quite intense, so if you have platinum blonde hair, you may want to dilute this a bit with a normal shampoo/conditioner, as it may turn your hair purple. I did not have to dilute this because my hair was bleached from brown/black to blonde, and it gets so brassy easily. Anyway, this duo is absolutely fantastic, and I will repurchase this if I decide to keep my blonde ends (I'm thinking about dyeing it back to brown/black).

3. Lush Snow Fairy
I'm jumping the gun a little here, as I had to pour Snow Fairy into an empty shower gel bottle because it takes up too much space in my shower caddy. I probably have about a third of Snow Fairy left in the other shower gel bottle, but I thought I'd include this in this empty post because I hate keeping empty bottles.

Snow Fairy smells really sweet, like a jar full of rock candy. I'm not the biggest fan of the smell and I'm not sure why, as I love sweet smelling shower gels. I did not find it particularly moisturizing nor drying. Therefore, I would not repurchase, as I much prefer my Bath & Body Works shower gels.

4. Essential Ultra Honey & Shea Butter Hair Mask
I love this hair mask. This is one of the best hair masks I've ever tried. It really detangles and leaves my hair feeling so soft. It's also quite affordable, at ~AUD$10.20 on sasa.com I would repurchase this.

5. Selsun Blue Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
I've blogged about this amazing shampoo here, and it has also appeared in an empties post here, so I won't rave about it again. I have already repurchased this :)

6. ICON India Shampoo and Conditioner
So glad to have finished these tubes of ICON India Shampoo and Conditioner. I've done a review of them here, and they just didn't work for me. I'm not a big fan of the smell, as it's far too spicy for my liking. I would not repurchase.

7. Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Express Mascara Waterproof in Black
This mascara has appeared in a couple of my empties post before (here and here). So it's no surprise that I love this mascara. It volumises my lashes really well without clumping, and it's also waterproof. I will definitely repurchase when I have used up my spares. :)

8. Etude House Oh~ m' Eye Lash Petticoat
This lash primer from Etude House is pretty good. It helps lengthen my lashes (which they definitely need), and volumises them slightly. I would probably repurchase.

9. Kate Somerville samples
I really wanted to find a skincare range (and I still am on the hunt) that will help eradicate the annoying shine that I normally get around midday. I went into Mecca Cosmetica, and was told to give Kate Somerville a try.

I was given the vitamin serum, detox cleanser, detox moisturizer and a scrub (which I've forgotten to include in this picture). Unfortunately, I didn't screw the cap on the serum properly when transporting from my fiance's to my parents and lost it all. I had only given it a go about twice before the incident and found it was ok, but I can't really comment as I haven't been able to trial it properly.

I didn't think much of the detox moisturizer, and when I used it up, I dug through my stash of samples and found the oil free moisturizer sachet. Unfortunately, I didn't think much of that one either (considering the price, I didn't think it was worth it).

The detox cleanser was quite nice. It didn't strip my skin of all natural oils - i.e. my skin didn't feel tight after cleansing. From memory, it had a bit of a citrusy smell, which is neither a good nor bad thing in my opinion. I probably wouldn't repurchase this either, as I much prefer my HG cleanser - Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser.

The Kate Somerville Exfolikate scrub was pretty good. It was gritty, which I love in a scrub. I would probably repurchase this when I'm out of scrubs.

10. Dr Brandt BB Matte with Signature Shinerase for oily/combination skin sample
I only got two or three uses out of this, so I can't really go into too much detail about this product. However, I quite like this BB cream. I found that it really did help reduce shine (although not completely), and would most likely purchase the full size to give it a good go.

11. Fresh Sugar lipbalm (travel sized)
I can't believe I have finished my first ever lip product. This lip balm is AMAZING. It's so moisturizing and smells good. I have repurchased this already but in a different colour. I highly recommend Fresh Sugar Lipbalms!

12. Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser
I've reviewed this primer here, and I think it's an amazing product that is comparable to Benefit's Porefessional. I would definitely repuchase this, and wish this was sold in Australia (this was purchased in Singapore).

That's it for September empties. What have you emptied out recently that you loved or hated?

  4. I really wish that Aussie was sold here in Australia. It's loved by so many overseas beauty bloggers, that it's such a shame it's not available here.

  5. There are so many youtube raves on Aussie products, it's strange how they don't sell it here, considering there's a kangaroo on their logo as well! I wish the Essential hair mask came in a pump form, I always end up losing half of what I scooped up cos I'm just that clumsy in the shower haha

    1. sasa normally takes about 2 weeks (which is the norm for overseas post for me), so I'm surprised it took forever for your stuff to get to you.

  10. I loveee the Fresh sugar lip treatments! I'm so close to finishing mine as well; I find them so much easier to finish than other lip balms because of its texture.
