Review: Katy Perry Killer Queen Oh So Sheer Perfume

Katy Perry's second Killer Queen perfume was released last month and I naturally jumped at the chance when offered to review this perfume, as I am a fan of her first Killer Queen perfume (reviewed here).

Katy Perry Killer Queen Oh So Sheer is the name of her second perfume, and it is quite different to her first in terms of scent. However, the bottle that houses the sweet fragrance is very similar to the original Killer Queen perfume.

As you can see, the Killer Queen Oh So Sheer perfume bottle is very similar to that of Killer Queen. The only difference being the colour of the bottle. I still have yet to find a stand for my Killer Queen. It currently lives on top of one of my makeup acrylic boxes, but is taking up a far bit of room. Unfortunately, while the bottle is gorgeous, it's not practical in a space-saving point of view.

I absolutely love the detail of the perfume cap, which is similar (if not identical) to that of the original Killer Queen.

I'm not very good at describing the scent of perfumes, so here is the fragrance notes for Killer Queen Oh So Sheer...
Top Notes: Purple Plum, Mulberry, Blackberry, Elderberries
Middle Notes: Purple Freesia, Rainbow Plumeria, Red Velvet Flower, Purple Lilac
Base Notes: Cashmeran, Natural Patchouli Heart & Liquid Praline

As mentioned before, Oh So Sheer is sweet and fruity perfume. My sister thought it was sickeningly sweet, but as a lover of sweet fragrances, this was perfect for me.

Similar to the original Killer Queen, I found that it did not last as long on me. It goes on quite strong but slowly fades after about 3-4 hours. This is the only con for me, as I like my perfumes to last through the day. Other than that, I absolutely love Oh So Sheer.

You can purchase Katy Perry Killer Queen Oh So Sheer Eau de Parfum from Myer, Priceline, Chemist Warehouse and selected pharmacies. The RRP for Oh So Sheer is $59 for 100ml.

Are you a fan of sweet and fruity perfumes? Have you tried Oh So Sheer? What are your thoughts?

This product was kindly provided for my consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.

  1. Sounds like I would like this one... but the shape of the bottle would drive me insane! I have no room for that on my perfume shelf :) I love how reasonably priced many of the celebrity fragrances are, makes it so much easier (by that I mean cheaper!) to try them all! x

  2. It sounds like such a pretty scent. Also I love how it lies on its side like that - it's such a princess bottle!

  4. I'm a huge fan of the first perfume, so I definitely want to smell this one asap! You're right though, although the bottle is gorgeous, it's quite impractical! Great review :) xx
