Yet another (mini) Sephora haul

It's no secret that I have a shopping problem. I did another (mini) Sephora haul. I also picked up clothes from Forever 21 and Victoria's Secret, which I probably will not blog about since I'm terrible at photographing clothes, and it's not all that exciting since they're mostly clothes for work.

The main reason why I did a Sephora haul was that I reeeeally wanted the new Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation. If you're following me on instagram, twitter or facebook, you'll know that HopShopGo aka Comgateway refused to ship the foundation as it's apparently flammable.

They advised that I should check their website for prohibited items before purchasing items to prevent this from happening again, or to send them an email to ensure that the items I want to purchase are not prohibited. I just thought that was absolutely ridiculous. A foundation... flammable? No where on their website states that a foundation is a prohibited item. Furthermore, they have forwarded foundations to me before. I ended up having to pay USD$5 in admin fees to get them to send the foundation back to Sephora. If you thought this is ridiculous, check out my haul.

The majority of my haul consists of samples and freebies, as the only other thing I purchased is Benefit's Gimme Brow (aka my HG brow product).

Sephora Fragrances, Kat Von D makeup removing wipes, YSL Fusion Ink samples
This is the reason why I'm absolutely furious with HopShopGo. So it's apparently NOT ok to forward a bottle of YSL Fusion Ink Foundation because it's flammable, but it's ok to forward samples of said foundation AND perfume? Doesn't make sense to me.

I had a coupon code for this bag of goodies - it contains a Laura Mercier foundation primer, Dr Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm, Benefit Watt's Up Highlighter, Blinc Mascara Amplified, Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm, Buxom mascara, Make Up For Ever HD Blush in 410 (Coral) Sample Card.

I redeemed 500 Sephora points for this Hourglass box of samples. I don't think it's worth the 500 points as the samples are tiny. The Hourglass sample set comes with Veil Mineral Primer, Lipstick in Grace, Mascara, Liquid Lipstick in Icon, and three sachets - Veil Fluid Makeup Oil Free in Nude, Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation in Nude, Tinted Moisturizer in Ivory.

That's it for my amazingly tiny Sephora haul. I exercised a lot of self constraint when purchasing this haul, and am very disappointed that HopShopGo refused to ship my Fusion Ink Foundation. I wish I knew this before hand, as I would have gotten something else.

    1. Thanks! I always end up leaving the store with a bag full of products. When Sephora opens up in Australia, I will be permanently broke!

    1. I can never understand shipping companies! They don't make sense at all, considering it's ok to carry or check in perfume and nail polishes when flying.

How much was shipping & handling for what you purchase?

    1. I paid USD$58.51 to ship the items above, as well as a box of clothes from Forever 21 and another satchel of clothes from Victoria's Secret. I had an extra 10% off coupon for HopShopGo, so it would have normally costed me an extra 10% off $58.51 for shipping.
