Collection: Chanel

This is part 3 of my non-MAC makeup collection. I must say preparing and writing these makeup collection posts have really opened my eyes to how much I've accumulated over the years. Having said that, I'm more aware of what I'm seriously lacking in each collection. So I'm not sure whether doing these makeup collection posts is really a good thing or a bad one.

L-R; Chanel Cils A Cils; Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua; Chanel Glossimer
The Chanel Cils A Cils in 10 Noir was actually given to me by my brother quite a while ago. I couldn't (and still can't) bare throwing this out even though it's way past it's expiry. There's just something so classic and precious about a Chanel product, whether it be a handbag or in this case, a mascara, that is so hard to say goodbye to. However, I can't say it is the best mascara on the market nor can I recommend spending stupid money on it. There's really nothing special about this mascara that I would rave about but I just can't seem to let it go. I might have to end up bribing myself by doing a sneaky Chanel purchase to replace this mascara. Wish me luck.
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 in 20 Beige is a foundation that I considered using on my wedding day. I actually couldn't decide between this and the other one I ended up using (Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+), so I got the makeup artist to pick one. I did a write up on my top three favourite foundations earlier this year, and this was included in that post (read here). This definitely remains as one of my all time favourite foundations, as it is perfect for my oily-combination skin.
Chanel Glossimer in 46 is my first ever Chanel lip gloss... and I have yet to use it. Yeah, I know I have a problem. I'm honestly thinking about selling it to someone who will actually use it!
L-R: Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour; Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base; Chanel Natural Finish Loose Powder
I mention the above where I said I have a problem, and this definitely confirms it as I still have yet to be able to bring myself to use the limited edition Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour No 01 that I purchased at duty free mid this year. I think I know what my new year's resolution is going to be.
Ah hah! A product I have used!!! Can I please get a round of applause or a pat on the back? Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base is a lovely cream-gel bronzer that gives the right amount of sun-kissed glow without the oompa-loompa look. I would definitely recommend this bronzer!
Chanel Natural Finish Loose Powder in 25 Peche Clair is a product I have yet to crack open. To my defense, I do not think I will have a problem whatsoever using this unlike the limited edition Les Beiges Healthy Glow. I am just waiting to finish my other opened loose powders. Also, this product was added to my makeup collection not too long ago. That's a good/acceptable enough excuse, right?
L-R: Chanel Rouge Coco in 60; Chanel Rouge Coco in 117; Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 57
L-R: Chanel Rouge Coco in 60; Chanel Rouge Coco in 117; Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 57
The Chanel Rouge Coco range is described as a "hydrating creme colour". I only own two out of the fairly extensive colour range (I think I need more), and both are comfortable on the lips. They could be a bit more moisturizing, but at least they are not drying. The colour payoff of both lipsticks are excellent.
Chanel Rouge Coco in 60 Triomphe is a gorgeous pink coral and Chanel Rouge Coco in 117 Magnolia is a medium pink.
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine is sheerer than the Rouge Coco range, and as it's name suggest, it has more of a shine. I only have one Rouge Coco Shine, and will definitely look into acquiring more in the future. Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 57 Aventure is a warm peachy-pink with golden flecks through it (unfortunately, it didn't show up in the swatch above).

I think there is definitely room to expand in my Chanel collection. Is there any products you'd recommend?
