Haul: Sephora (USA)

This is the second instalment of my US haul. As mentioned in the part I of my US haul post (read here), I only purchased from two shops - Sephora and MAC. I did this haul during their VIB sale, where everything was 20% off. I was extremely lucky to have purchased these goodies before Sephora had a meltdown and started freezing accounts!

I definitely could have done worse damage, but I somehow found some self restraint and stopped myself from buying everything on my wishlist. I even managed to talk myself out from purchasing some stuff that were in my shopping cart. I think I should reward myself with another shopping trip... just kidding... sort of...

I HAD to get this Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush palette. If I only could get one item from Sephora, this was it. I am absolutely obsessed with Hourglass blushes. I own two before prior to this purchase, and I've been using them almost everyday since. This is the main reason why I am able to let go of some of my beloved MAC blushes, which I still have some for sale (see blog sale here). I have been using this palette throughout the week, and I am head over heels in love! I foresee a review of this coming up in the near future.

These two scrubs are my holy grail scrubs. I am using my last tube of Clinique For Men Face Scrub, and had to get a spare. Clinique has changed their packaging recently, and I'm finding it hard to open the cap, especially in the shower where I have no grip. That's the only thing I don't like about this scrub.
I have used one or two other body scrubs, but none of them compare to the Soap & Glory Foamy Fruity Body Scrub. I highly recommend this scrub if you like really gritty and amazing smelling scrubs that do an amazing job at removing dead skin cells, leaving your skin nice and soft.

I am currently using Too Faced Better Than False Lashes, which is similar to the Tarte Best In Faux set I've purchased. I've heard great things about Tarte's version of lash extending/fibre mascara and wanted to trial it to compare.
When I mentioned that I would like to expand my YSL lipstick collection (read here), I wasn't kidding. I picked up the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in 29 Opera Rose. It's quite a vibrant pink lipstick, but it's natural enough for me to feel comfortable wearing.
I also purchased the Hourglass Femme Rouge Velvet Creme Lipstick in Ballet, which is described as a Vibrant Pink. I have yet to try this, but I looked up swatches online prior to purchasing and it doesn't look too "scary" on the lips.
The last lip stuff I bought was the Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Canvas, which is a soft rose beige. This is a travel sized product, and retails for USD$10 (less 20%, plus tax) compared to the full sized version which retails for USD$28. I thought it's a brilliant way to try this liquid lipstick without forking out too much for the full size.

I finished a bottle of the Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil, and I loved it so much, I decided to get another. Except after scouring through Sephora's website, I found a Josie Maran Argan Skincare Ritual kit, which contains the 100% Pure Argan Oil and two other products - the cleansing oil and a Daily Moisturizer. It has a value of USD$39, but retails for USD$24. So I thought it's another fantastic way of trialling new products!
I also purchased the Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil because I wanted to try other face oils on the market.

I got some freebies out of this haul. I used some of my points to redeem the Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara. Also, thanks to the ginormous haul I did with my friend, I spent enough to renew my VIB rouge status for 2015 and was given the Sephora Formula X nail polish. I was actually quite surprised that my husband's mate who acted as my parcel forwarder managed to sneak this in through the postal company he used. I also got a sample of the Agave Oil Treatment, which I have used before and love.
That's it for my Sephora haul! My cravings for new makeup/skincare has been satisfied... for now. Did you purchase anything from the Sephora VIB sale?

  3. Great haul. I love Josie Moran and Fresh products. I wish they were easier to get here. I'm sad that Mecca/Kit didn't get any JM packs for Christmas.

  5. Great haul! I'd love to get my hands on some tarte products myself, but I'm too scared by how much the forwarding parcel services will cost ;__;

  11. Thank you! I don't normally shop at Mecca/kit, so I had no idea! What a shame!

  12. Thanks Tiggles! I'd recommend going in it with a friend or two so shipping can be shared. It'll work out cheaper that way. Mine usually costs from $50, up to $90 for about 3 articles (usually 1 or 2 boxes with 1 or 2 satchels).
