Empties: February 2015

Oops! I just realized that I have yet to publish this post, which was written before I went on holidays a few weeks ago! Better late than never, right?!

It's time of the month again when I can finally proceed to throw out the collection of empties I've been keeping for the past few weeks! I feel like I haven't finished as many products as I normally do. I do know that I have been slacking off in throwing away old mascaras again. I just can't bear to throw any out lately, anyone else feel the same way?

1. Neutrogena Deep Clean Mulberry Foam Cleanser
I don't know how I feel about this foam cleanser. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. It certainly did not help when it came to acne (I have had ones that were quite deep in the skin, which I have attributed to stress/hormones). However, it didn't dry my skin out and it was fantastic to use with the Clarisonic. As I don't love it, I probably wouldn't be repurchasing.

2. Original Raw 1st Vitamin Essence
I received this in one of my Memeboxes. It is a multifunctional product - toner/serum type thing. It's quite a thick liquid that does not leave any sticky residue (for some reason, I associate thicker toners/serums with stickiness). It also added a bit of moisture into my skin, which is an added bonus. I still do apply moisturizer after though.

3. Etude House Nail Remover #1 Mild
I absolutely love Etude House nail polish removers. They smell nice and they are so effective! I'd highly recommend them! I already have like 8 spare bottles...

4. Bath & Body Works Berry Flirt Shower Gel
I love my B&BW shower gels, and this one is no exception. I have yet to find a B&BW shower gel I don't like. Would definitely repurchase if there was a store here!

5. Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Sugar Scrub
I don't know how I feel about this scrub. It smells amazing and feels luxurious on the skin, but it is not effective as a scrub. There is barely any grit! I would recommend this if you had extremely sensitive skin, but not if you are looking for a good scrub.

6. Vagisil Feminine Wash
A reminder that your lady bits need a good wash regularly too...

7. Nivea Anti-Perspirant Stress Protect
I enjoyed using this travel friendly sized anti-perspirant, it really did a good job at keeping me smelling nice and fresh. However, I just wish it didn't leave a white mark.

8. Make Up For Ever HD Powder (5g)
This is a great finishing/setting powder that I would recommend to all. I haven't had any troubles with any white cast with this powder (but then again I rarely do take photos with flash at night). I have back ups of this powder, so I won't be repurchasing this for a while.

9. Olay Regenerist Moisturizer (14g)
I really liked this moisturizer! It absorbed relatively quickly into my skin, smelt amazing, didn't leave any sticky residue. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is the packaging, as I hate digging my fingers into tubs/jars of cream.

10. Clean & Clear Oil Control Film
I don't love these oil blotters but I don't hate them either. After discovering the Gatsby Powdered Oil Clear Paper (see below), there is absolutely nothing that I've tried that even can even compare.
Probably wouldn't repurchase, as the Gatsby ones are way better!
11. Gatsby Powdered Oil Clear Paper
These oil blotters have been featured in my empties posts numerous of times. I love that there is a bit of powder in this oil blotter as it helps keep oil at bay even more than other regular oil blotter paper. Highly recommend this to you if you have oily skin. :)
12. Bioderma Intensive Purifying Care
I used this when I had pimples popping up right, left and centre. Didn't find that it helped at all. Wouldn't be purchasing the full size.
What have you emptied recently that I need to know about?

  1. I love a good empties post! I'm currently on a spending ban and trying to work through some products before that's over. There's nothing that quite beats the feeling of finishing a beauty product!
