Review: Becca Flowerdance Holiday Set

I absolutely love getting sets, as they're more often than not great value for money. It's also a fantastic way of trialling new products without splurging on individual full sized products.

There are quite a number of Becca products that I've heard many amazing things about that I have yet to try. One of which is the beach tint, which is included in the Flowerdance Holiday Set! Yay!

Becca's Flowerdance Holiday Set is a five piece gift set that contains Ultimate Eye Colour Quad in Galactica, Nail Colour in Summerdaze, Beach Tint in Grapefruit, Ultimate Colour Gloss in Miami Vice and a travel pouch with dual compartments.

I love the shades in the Ultimate Eye Colour Quad in Galactica, as they are all fairly neutral shades that will suit most, if not all, skintones. There are four shades in this eyeshadow quad - matte ebony,  metallic brown, metallic peach and dark matte brown. Unfortunately, these eyeshadows aren't very pigmented and are slightly too chalky. I found myself applying multiple layers in the swatch photo further down the post in order to get them to show up on my skin enough for a photo. The metallic peach shade barely shows up on my skin (perhaps because my skintone is too similar?), however it provides a nice shimmer.

Nail Colour in Summerdaze is a gorgeous coral pink shade. I have only used these on my toes (hence no swatch photo because let's face it, noone wants to see feet on a blog), and as you (hopefully) know, nail polish on toes last forever. I really like the formula - wasn't streaky, dried quickly, and only two coats was needed. This is one of those colours that looks absolutely gorgeous on tanned skin, but may not look the same on fairer skin (may look like you've got lobster hands).

Beach Tint in Grapefruit was a bit disappointing too. However, I have to keep reminding myself that it is a tint! It barely shows up on my cheeks unless I apply about 3 layers. One of Becca's tip is to use it under a powder blush/lip product for added intensity. I found this to work well, except I don't quite require this "added intensity", as I'm blessed to own blushes that work extremely well on their own. I have tried this tint on my lips, but unfortunately feels too drying for this winter season, which is such a shame as Grapefruit is such a gorgeous pale coral pink. It also has a lovely fruit scent.

Ultimate Colour Gloss in Miami Vice is a soft peach pink lip gloss that is non-sticky and pigmentation is fantastic. It glides on my lips so smoothly and doesn't accentuate any dry patches or settle in any fine lines. Furthermore, it's got a slight vanilla scent. This lipgloss is definitely one of my favourite items in this set.

I love this dual compartment travel pouch! It's water resistant and even contains compartments for your brushes. This is definitely perfect for travelling!
