Empties: November 2015

The countdown is on! Less than a month till Christmas, and I really need to get started on Christmas shopping. Does anyone want to see a gift guide?

Getting back on track, I didn't really finish many products this month. I blame it on my holiday, as I took minis with me (didn't finish many of those - holiday was clearly too short).

Singapore Haul

I'm back from my holiday to Singapore, and I could not leave the country empty handed. I'm actually quite pleased with how much self-constraint I've managed to practice when it came to beauty purchases - it also helped that the Aussie dollar isn't doing too well, and quite a number of things ended up being more expensive in Singapore than Australia.

Bloggers United AU (Sydney) - Massive haul

This blog post is long overdue, considering the Bloggers United AU Sydney event was just over 3 weeks ago! I had heaps of fun meeting other event attendees and brand reps. In fact, I had so much fun networking, I forgot to take pictures of the event itself. #bloggerfail

We were given bags full of goodies that I thought I'd share in this blog post (warning: this post is picture heavy, and I'll be letting the pictures do the talking). My arms and shoulders definitely had a good workout walking to and from the event and train station. Had pretty sore muscles for the next few days!

Anyway, to stop this blog post from getting any longer, let's jump straight to it!

Brand Focus: Colour Theory

Colour Theory is a brand that's new to me. It's a very affordable brand, where prices of products start from $4, and nothing costs more than $10.

I've been trialling some of these products over the past month or so, and am now finally ready to share my thoughts!

October Favourites

I've discovered quite a few new products in October that I've fallen in love with and have to share!
I haven't had a chance to do a proper review of any of these products, as they are still new to me, but I am absolutely loving them and have been using them almost everyday.

1. Les Merveilleuses de LadurĂ©e Face Color Rose LadurĂ©e
This blush just screams luxury. It is the most expensive blush I own, and I have no regrets spending AUD$120 on it. As it's not available in Australia (that I'm aware of), I got one of my friends who was visiting Japan to make this sneaky purchase for me. It's not only absolutely gorgeous with the (fake) petals, but the jar that houses the blush petals (sold separately) is so unique and pretty. This blush is also fairly pigmented, and the colour is gorgeous (swatch at the end of the post).

2. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette
I have yet to find a hourglass product I dislike. Although many people have criticised this palette due to its sized and hefty price tag in comparison, I don't share the same opinion. I think it's the perfect size for travelling, and since I have never finished a blush in my life, size is not an issue. The only thing I wish hourglass would do is make new blush shades and stop reusing old ones.

3. Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked
This lipstick shade is a my lips but better. It's pigmented and non-drying. This has been my go-to lipstick for the past couple of weeks.

4. Too Faced Born This Way foundation in Light Beige
May or may not have gone to Mecca and gotten two sample loads of foundation before biting the bullet and purchasing this foundation. Born This Way provides ample coverage for everyday wear (medium), and I barely have to use concealer to cover up any blemishes, as the foundation covers most of them. It lasts all day on my skin, and whilst it's not the best at oil control, it provides a natural, satin finish.

5. Williams Pro Makeup Zero Powder
I've been using this finishing powder ever since I got it from bloggers united Sydney event earlier in the month. I love that this is not a flat, translucent powder - it has a little bit of a glittery substance that gives the skin a little bit of something something. It also smells nice, and helps with oil control. I'm not usually strict on using vegan/cruelty free product, but this is one of them is you only use cruelty free products. It retails for AUD$35 and can be purchased directly from Williams Pro Makeup here.

What are your October favourites?

Empties: October 2015

Two more months of 2015 left! How time flies!

I haven't really finished much for October (in comparison to previous month's), with a couple of "cheat" products.
