Since I missed out on last month's empties post, I thought I'd do a combine post for December and January today, despite there being another week of January left.
For nearly two months worth of empties, I haven't finished many products. This probably had to do with me travelling and bringing travel-sized products instead of lugging around my full-sized ones.
1. Dove Aqua Moisture Nourishing Body Wash
Received this body wash in a goodie bag from a bloggers event I attended last year (Bloggers United). I much prefer the original Dove body wash, as I don't love the scent of this one. I don't really notice my skin being more moisturized after using Dove, compared to any other body washes/shower gels. I wouldn't repurchase, as I still love my B&BW shower gels more.
2. Bath & Body Works Velvet Sugar Shower Gel
Speaking of B&BW shower gels... It took me longer than normal to use this bottle up, mainly because I absolutely love the scent of this one. I was using minimal amounts at a time to make it last longer.
3. Nizoral 1% Anti-Dandruff Treatment
I haven't had problems with dandruff from itchy scalp recently. So it has taken me a long time to finish this bottle. I eventually got sick of looking at this in the shower that I just used it even though I don't have dandruff problems. It is a good treatment though - it works and doesn't smell nasty, like some other anti-dandruff treatments. Would repurchase if I get a dandruff problem again.
4. femfresh Deodorising Wash
Another reminder that it is important to wash your lady bits.
5. Marc Anthony Repairing Macadamia Oil Deep Rescue Conditioning Treatment
If you have dry, damaged hair, you NEED to try this treatment. It detangles my hair and makes it feel so nice and soft. I get about 3 uses out of this sachet. The only downside is the packaging, but I decant it into a more user friendly bottle.
6. Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturiser
This is a fairly decent moisturiser. Love the smell of this though. It kind of reminds me of nivea. I would consider repurchasing if I didn't already have a 1001 bottles of moisturisers to use up.
7. Karuna Clarifying Face Mask
I received this face mask for Christmas from the husband (it was on my wishlist). It's quite an expensive one-use face mask (I believe it's $12?). I don't think it's worth the price, even though it did make my skin feel a bit softer. It did nothing in controlling excess oils. I was also hoping it'll help clear up pimples more quickly, but it didn't work for me. I wouldn't repurchase unless it was on special.
8. Lush D'Fluff Strawberry Shaving Soap
This made my skin feel so smooth! Absolutely love this shaving soap! Would consider repurchasing, but I rarely find the need to shave after undergoing some laser hair removal sessions.
9. Ole Henriksen Grease Relief Cleansing Cloths
I thought these cleansing cloths were mediocre. They are quite unique, as they have a smooth side and an exfoliating side (rougher side). It doesn't completely remove my makeup and it's not as moist as I like my makeup removing wipes to be. The exfoliating side is interesting, but may not be suitable for those with sensitive skin.
10. Gatsby Oil Clear Sheet (Blotting Papers)
These blotting papers are the bomb-diggity! If you have oily skin, you NEED these in your life. I've never tried blotting papers as effective as these in removing oil without messing up your makeup. I would repurchase if I didn't already have like 10 backups.
11. Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster
I didn't see much difference in my skin the week and a half it took me to finish this little sample. I did like that it was really lightweight and smelt nice (it has quite a strong perfumey scent, which may not be suitable for sensitive skin). However, I wouldn't purchase the full size at $85 for 30ml considering I didn't notice any benefits.
12. Etude House Nail Polish Remover
Etude House makes one of the best nail polish removers I've ever tried, and I've tried a fair few. It removes nail polish effortlessly and it smells nice for a remover. If you haven't already tried this, what are you waiting for?!
13. Tarte Opening Act Last Primer
I was quite impressed with this lash primer by Tarte. It does a decent job in both lengthening and volumising my lashes. I'm sure I already have a backup, if not I would definitely consider repurchasing.
14. Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner Pen
I LOVE this eyeliner gel pen by Maybelline. I've reviewed this a while ago, and this is my second one. Unfortunately, I haven't any spares, but I am trying to get my hands on more. It's currently not available in Australia, but you can get them from eBay, which is where I got mine. Highly recommend this liner!
