Review: Staylean Tea

I've always been curious but wary about teas that claim to help with weight loss or detox. I've noticed more and more of these types of teas popping up on social media. Quite a number of them do have laxatives, which will obviously lead to "weight loss" temporarily. However, Staylean tea does not contain any laxatives. All ingredients used are 100% natural and organic.

The Staylean tea is a 14 day program, whereby you drink a cup of tea every morning for 14 days, and another cup of a different type of tea every other afternoon.

The ingredients for each tea are:

Morning Lean Burner - Longjing Green Leaf, Pu'erh Tea Leaf, Lotus Leaf, Lemongrass, Dandelion Leaf, Goji Berry

Afternoon Lean Cleanse - Chamomile, Chrysanthemum, Rose Flower, Lavender, Roselle, Lemongrass, Longjing Green Leaf

Staylean Tea - Morning Lean Burner
The morning lean burner tea is meant to help suppress the appetite and boost metabolism, which I found mostly true. Although I attributed my lack of hunger (aka suppression of appetite) for a couple of hours due to having a belly full of tea.

I didn't mind the taste of this tea. If you enjoy drinking Chinese tea, you would like this one.

Staylean Tea - Afternoon Lean Cleanse
The afternoon lean cleanse tea "contains an antioxidant rich blend of herbal ingredients that help clean the digestive tract and speed up the detoxification process". I would assume that this tea would help with the movement of bowels, if it's meant to "clean the digestive tract". I personally did not experience a consistent result in bowel movement to attribute the days when movement was fantastic to this tea. However, the tea may have helped.

As mentioned earlier, you're only meant to consume this tea every other day in the afternoon, which was a relief as I wasn't a fan of the taste of this tea. It was bearable whilst the tea was still hot, although I hate drinking scalding hot tea (I hate the feeling of a burnt tongue). When it goes cold, the taste is horrendous. It has this sour aftertaste that I find disgusting, so I ended up having to skol it down really quickly.

Overall, I did enjoy trialling the 14 day Staylean tea program, even though the afternoon one was a bit yucky. The organic, natural and laxative free ingredients made it safe to drink the tea during working days, without fearing the need to run to the toilet to relief one's self. I also felt a bit cleaner on the inside (like when you sometimes feel after doing a huge one...) and good overall after completing this program.

The 14 day detox program costs $39 with free shipping within Australia. I also have a 10% coupon if you'd like to give Staylean Tea a go - botrc27.
