The Parcel - Autumn 2016

I always look forward to the beginning of each season, as that is when a new edition of "The Parcel" is released. The Parcel is a luxury quarterly subscription box containing deluxe samples and new releases. It is my favourite beauty subscription box, as their customer service and box contents are normally excellent and value for money compared to other boxes.

There are a total of six products in this season's The Parcel box, four of which are full sized.

1. CROP Natural Pure Macadamia Oil - full size (RRP: $18 for 50ml)
"... a nourishing, nutrient-rich, 100% natural oil with a multitude of uses. Use as a cleanser, an anti-ageing face and body treatment, or as a hydration booster for hair and nails."

Whilst I don't see CROP as a luxury brand, it is a brand that I'm unfamiliar with - I've heard of it before, but have never tried any of their products. I have been really loving the benefits of rosehip oil, and I'm definitely interested in comparing the differences (and/or) similarities between macadamia and rosehip oil. I also like that this is a multi-use oil.

2. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - full size (RRP: $6.95 for 125ml)
"... it can be used as a gentle cleanser, it removes make-up on the eyes, lips and skin without any scrubbing, and it's soothing on the skin. The micellar formula is fragrance-free and calming, which make it an ideal product for even the most sensitive skin. This is the ultimate one-stop product for travel, or busy women wanting to simplify their beauty routine."

This is another product that I wouldn't classify a luxury. I do not use cleansing water in my skincare routine. Although I may have to shortly as I am finally taking the plunge and getting eyelash extensions in a couple of weeks! It would be interesting to see if cleansing waters are more efficient in removing makeup than my good ol' makeup removing wipes.

3. Estee Lauder New Dimension Shape + Fill Expert Serum - 4ml (RRP: $140 for 30ml)
"If your jawline isn't holding the same shape as it did 10 years ago, this award winning serum could be just the ticket. Using breakthrough shaping technology combined with pro-collagen complex, it smooths and plumps the skin with proven results in two weeks. Apply this serum on freshly cleansed skin both morning and night prior to moisturiser, and it will continue to work over time for a contoured jawline with more visible lift to the skin."

Whilst this is a luxury item, I feel like this should have been included in the "Ageless" version of The Parcel. As I'm fairly young, I do not have issues with sagging jawlines, so I will be passing this sample to my mum.

4. MOR Emporium Classics Triple-Milled Soap in Blood Orange (RRP: $19.95 for 180g)
"... this nourishing triple-milled soap is scented with blood orange and blended with jasmine, rose and lily of the valley for a soft floral scent that lingers well after use."

I don't use bar soaps, but they are fantastic at making the contents of your drawer smell lovely.

5. OPI Nail Lacquer in Pedal Faster Suzi - full size (RRP: $19.95 for 15ml)
"... long-wearing, chip-resistant and with a patented ProWide brush that ensures easy application..."

I know some people are getting sick of receiving nail polishes in their boxes, but I'm absolutely loving it. I love OPI and I love pink polishes. This is a total win!

6. Gilded Cage Unleashed lipstick in 117 - full size (RRP: $40 for 3.5g)
"If you're after a rich, pigmented colour that feels weightless and silky on the lips, you're in for a treat. With a creamy texture, this lipstick is both firming and volumising for lips, so that they appear fuller."

Whilst this Gilded Cage lippie sounds amazing, I'm going to be giving this away, as I do not wear red. (I have finally taken some photos for a giveaway, which should be launched sometime this week, so stay tuned!)

Overall, this edition of the Parcel is a bit on the mediocre side - I wouldn't use half the items in this box, and there are a couple that I don't consider luxury items. Hopefully, The Parcel picks up their game and present an amazing box next season!
