Another US Haul

My gorgeous husband went to the states for work during my birthday, and came home bearing gifts to make up for it. My birthday was at the beginning of August. I wasn't kidding when I said I have a backlog of posts.

I was definitely spoilt, as this was just a fraction of things that he got for me (he also bought me things from Bath & Body Works, perfumes and Victoria Secret goodies).

I wrote a shopping list for my husband, so he knew what to buy. I scoured the new releases makeup pages on Walmart and Ulta's website to find treasures that aren't available in Australia.

I found three items by Maybelline - Contour V-Shape Duo Stick and two Strobing Sticks that were right up my alley.

Please excuse the typo in the picture above - it should read Contour V-Shape Duo Stick.

All three products are creamy and pigmented. I do prefer the shade 100 Light Iridescent over the 200 Medium Nude Glow on my skin, as it shows up better. However, 200 Medium Nude Glow does provide a nice subtle sheen.

The Contour Stick is an interesting product - with the contour and highlight shade on the same end of the stick. It is not the easiest product to use because of it. I tend to use the contour shade more than highlight one, as there's a bigger surface area that I like to contour. I'm not too sure how this will go with extended use. However, the formula is fantastic - creamy, blends easily, pigmented, and the shade is perfect for my skintone.

The rest of the items (except for the Chanel nail polish - shade is Organdi) was purchased from Sephora. He collected my birthday gift - Marc Jacobs lippie and mascara, and picked up a Marc Jacobs Air Blush in 504 Kink and Kisses.

The blush is to die for! It's making me want to pick up more in other shades!

If you're following me on Instagram, you may know that I've undergone bunion removal surgery a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to try these foot masks before my surgery to help soften and moisturise my feet. I only used one of the two - Almond foot mask. It does help soften the skin, but only for a few days. It was also easy to use. Not sure if I would repurchase though!

That's it for my small (birthday) Sephora/Walmart haul, courtesy of my husband! :)
