Favourite Body Moisturisers for Winter

My skin normally gets dry and horribly itchy in winter (especially my legs). I attribute this to hot showers, I absolutely have to have, as well as being lazy with applying moisturiser everyday. However, this year I'm determined to stop slacking off and have been doing quite well at applying moisturiser almost every night before bed.

The two moisturisers that I've been using lately are the MooGoo Soothing MSM Cream and Lush Dream Cream Hand and Body Lotion.

I have reviewed MooGoo's Soothing MSM Cream nearly a year ago (read here), and I still absolutely love it. It's packed full of natural ingredients that moisturises and soothes dry, sensitive skin. An absolute must-have for winter!

MooGoo's Soothing MSM Cream retails for $24.95 (270g).

I received the Lush Dream Cream Hand & Body Lotion in my goodie bag when I went to Bloggers United AU x Lush 2nd birthday bash in Sydney a few months ago. I've been using it very regularly since receiving it, and still have heaps left! It's Lush's number 1 product, and I can definitely see why. It's so ridiculously soothing and moisturising. My legs actually feel tight and dry if I don't use this after my shower! My skin is just too damn spoilt now. :P

The only thing I don't like about the Lush Dream Cream is how it is packaged. I absolutely hate getting product underneath my nails. It's also not all that hygienic. I normally "dig" product out using my knuckle, so I don't get lotion underneath my nails.

As with most Lush products, Dream Cream has a herbally/floral scent with a hint of an earthy/oaty fragrance. Looking at the ingredients list, the two ingredients that dominate the smell of this cream are tea tree oil and lavender oil, despite them being listed as one of the last few ingredients.

If you're not a fan of tea tree or lavender (I'm not a fan of tea tree but don't mind lavender), fear not! The scent doesn't linger for too long (well, since I apply this before bed, I don't tend to notice it for very long :P The scent doesn't linger in my sheets either.)

Despite some cons, I definitely would recommend Lush Dream Cream because the benefits are life-changing for dry skin gals (and guys). It retails for $29.95 (240g).
