Review: Rimmel ScandalEyes Eyeliners

I admit I'm a bit of a brand snob. I tend to favour high end/luxury brands more than drugstore brands. However, when I was sent these Rimmel ScandalEyes eyeliners to trial, I fell in love!

I look for the following qualities in a eyeliner - pigmented, easy to use, smudgeproof. And both these eyeliners from Rimmel tick all these boxes.

The ScandalEyes Bold waterproof eyeliner (top one in the photo above), is more of a liquid eyeliner with a round applicator tip. Formula is amazing - super pigmented and dries down fairly quickly, leaving a black smudgeproof line (haven't tested out waterproof qualities).

The round applicator tip is a lot easier to use than you might think. However, it's not the best to create a sharp, thin cat-eye flick. That's where the precision micro eyeliner comes in (bottom one in the photo above).

The precision micro eyeliner is a felt tip liner with a sharp tapered end, making it ideal for creating that sharp cat-eye flick. It's super easy to use as well! Pigmentation wise, it's not as good as the bold waterproof one, but it's a pass in my books, especially since it's so long lasting - it's still there, sharp as ever at the end of the day. It is also buildable, so you can go over the same line multiple times without having to worry about the colour lifting/bleeding/smudging.

The top and bottom lines in the swatch above, as well as the first three letters of "RIMMEL" were created using the Rimmel Waterproof ScandalEyes Bold eyeliner, and the other lines and letters were created using the Rimmel ScandalEyes Precision Micro Eyeliner.

If you're looking for a budget friendly, pigmented and smudgeproof eyeliner, I highly recommend both of these ScandalEyes eyeliners by Rimmel.

The bold one retails for $13.95 and the precision micro retails for $12.95.
