Review: Rimmel Brow This Way 3-in-1 Ultra Soft Powder

Rimmel Brow This Way 3-in-1 Ultra Soft Powder is one of Rimmel's new releases. This product is also known as the Brow Shake Filling Powder. It's a rather unusual brow product - being that it is a loose powder, and you have to shake the tube (whilst closed for obvious reasons) to get product on the applicator. There are four shades available - Blonde, Medium Brown, Dark Brown & Black.

I picked the Dark Brown shade, and I am regretting it.

I really do think this is a neat, innovative idea. It's a great product to fill in any sparse areas, and it's super easy to use.

The applicator is soft and glides on easily.

The only issue I've experienced is the fall out, which is annoying if you normally do your brows after your foundation and get brown flecks of powder on your cheeks. And then you try to rub it off, and it smears everywhere, so you end up getting brown stripes on your cheeks, which might be ok if you're going for the tiger look.

I have figured out that if you shake less (or not at all), so that you have less product on the applicator, you will get less fall out. So yay for solutions!

The product itself is long wearing on my brows. However, I do not normally have issues with my brows fading.

My major gripe is the colour of "dark brown", I feel like they should have called it "Auburn", as it is such a warm colour. I have swatched it next to Benefit Goof Proof in shade 6 and Benefit Gimme Brow in shade 5 to compare.

This shade is so off for me, it's ridonkulous. Everytime I've used it, I have always had to apply another brow product over the top to tone down the crazy warm colour.

Please excuse the poor foundation complexion application and focus on those brows! I've actually applied a coat of Brow This Way Filling Powder over the top of my ABH brow pomade in Soft Brown. I think it looks too crazy bold/warm.
Overall, I do like the idea of a loose powder for a brow product. It's super pigmented and easy to use (except for the whole fallout fiasco). However, I wish I picked a different colour (or they made "Dark Brown" a little less red and a little more ashy).
Rimmel Brow This Way Filling Powder retails for $14.95, and can be purchased now!
