Review: Radical Skincare Express Delivery Enzyme Peel

I have been searching for a good peel for the longest time. When I saw this on Mecca a few months ago, it was out of stock - and it seemed like it has been that way for a long time from the Q&As on the page. It also has 15 reviews, all of which have rated this product 5 stars. So naturally, this went on my wishlist and I have been anxiously waiting for this to come back in stock so I can give it a whirl myself. It's been about 3 weeks now since I've purchased this, and I am so ready to write a review.

The Radical Express Delivery Enzyme Peel is a "gentle method of deep exfoliation can be used on both sensitive or problematic skin to smooth, firm and brighten. Formulated with a blend of enzymes and fruit acids including pineapple, papaya, grapefruit and lemon, the peel visibly loosens dead cells and dissolves them to reveal younger, healthier cell layers. Enriched with antioxidants for free radical protection, aloe vera and cucumber to soothe and hyaluronic acid to keep skin moisturised."

My first impressions were "omg this looks like jelly". It has the consistency of a firm jelly and is an interesting slightly translucent watermelon pink. It kind of smells like strawberry jelly with a hint of mint.

It goes from a thicker consistency when you first apply this on your skin and then thins out to a more watery consistency as it is massaged into your skin.

The directions say to rub in a circular motion for 3-4 minutes to see dead skin lift off. I don't think I did it for that long (I don't have the patience) to see little white balls start forming (which I'm assume is the dead skin). I'd say it normally takes me about 1-1.5 minutes of rubbing. I must say that it's quite satisfying to see and feel the little balls of dead skin on my face. It makes rubbing my face off for over a minute totally worth it.

After I've had enough of rubbing dead skin around, I rinse my face with warm(ish) water, as per the instructions, and I'm left with ridiculously smooth skin, which is the main reason why I purchased this enzyme peel.

At $66.00 for 50ml, it is not cheap but I think it's worth every dollar. I highly recommend this if you're sick of your dull skin and want a more supple, smoother complexion!

Purchased from Mecca.
